Books
- The Millionaire Next Door
- This book was assigned to me for a political science course, of all things. Of course, I didn't read it then. I read it after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad when I found myself voraciously consuming financial information. Wealth usually isn't flashy. Wealth is most often boring, reserved, and planned in advance. It is a great and balanced read, showing that wealth is within the reach of everyone.
- The Ten Percent Solution
- "Simple Steps to Improve Our Lives and Our World", indeed. I finished this book on the same day that I started. It is a very quick read, and it appealed to me a great deal because it laid out in plain terms the importance of financial priorities. We must first ensure that our own finances are in order so that we can take care of ourselves. Then we must turn our focus to the needs of others around us. What fun is money if we aren't using it to make the world a better place?
- Think and Grow Rich
- This book is more than just financial in nature, it is a holistic approach to life improvement, and through an improved life you may improve your finances as well. Napoleon Hill points out that his book can help people achieve whatever they desire, it just so happens that many people desire wealth.
